Final report for the Enterprise Mine Area

Abstract

Work undertaken on the leases may be conveniently divided into two separate areas; west and north of the new Stuart Highway referred to as the Enterprise Mine Area and south and east of the new Stuart Highway referred to as the Southern Leases encompassing the Kohinoor and Czarina areas. An economic gold deposit has been outlined in the Enterprise Mine Area. Consequently, much of the work undertaken on the Pine Creek leases, has been concentrated in this area. Five reports, which detail activities for each exploration phase of the Enterprise Mine area have been submitted to the Department of Mines and Energy during this period. This final report summarises work undertaken in the Enterprise Mine Area. The reader is referred to the prior reports if greater detail than provided here is required. Work undertaken on the Pine Creek leases is outlined here; gridding and surveying, aerial photography, initial geological mapping, geochemical sampling, detailed geological mapping, diamond and percussion drilling an ore reserve estimation, IP resistivity survey and a final feasibility study.
