Abstract

An initial exploration review of EL 28332 using screening criteria developed from studies of the local geology and gold mineralisation indicate that, at the regional level, no specific gold exploration target is evident in this area. A major cross structure could be a significant component in localising and precipitating other minerals associated with the younger hydrothermal event that succeeds the late Paleoproterozoic gold mineralising event (ca. 1700 Ma). Examples are the low temperature uranium and base-metal type deposits. The strategic and economic validity of this tenement area needs further consideration.
