EL 25347 Allambi, Annual Report for the period 12 March 2008 to 11 March 2009

Abstract

A detailed geological mapping exercise utilising hyperspectral scanning imagery was initiated. HyVista Corporation flew HyMap imagery over the entire tenement area (1,426km2) in April 2008. Interpretation of the spectral imagery and field checking, mapping and radiometric traversing has yet to be completed. The tenement holds potential for sandstone hosted uranium mineralization occurring in a similar mineralisation style to that of the Angela and Pamela deposits in the immediate vicinity. Previous mapping suggests that the Brewer Conglomerate does not appear to be present within the tenement. The Udandita Sandstone within the Brewer Conglomerate hosts the uranium mineralization at Angela and Pamela, however detail spectral analysis will be utilized to test previous geological interpretations and combined with available radiometric and magnetic survey data will facilitate exploration targeting.
