dc.description.abstractThe Malawari Uranium Prospect is located on the southern boundary of Exploration Licence 1624. Rotary and diamond drilling total 3151.8 metres. Drilling was hampered by pebble conglomerate and severe flattening of the holes. Natural gama radiation logging was completed for all holes. The results, checked by 90 chemical assays, showed modest radiochemical imbalance. Uraninite was discovered in a steeply dipping coarse arkosic sandstone modified by haomatitic alteration. The deposits has been traced over a srtike length of 360m but may peter out to the west. The most significant result was found in GCRD 9 from 166 to 169.3m (3.3m) assaying 7.6 kgs per tonne.en_US
