The prospecting area was granted to Australian Development No Liability on the 10 December 1965 for a period of 12 months and the rights were renewed on the 8 December 1966. The purpose of this report is to revise the work completed and to seek a renewal of the prospecting rights from the 8 December 1967 for a further period of 12 months. From the 1 January 1967 a new geological team superceded the previous members of the Exploration Department. Hence new ideas require a closer inspection of work previously completed so that fresh interpretations can be applied. During the course of the year new geological cross sections from the Company leases have been discussed with the Senior Geologist of the Mines Department. The main aim of the 1967/1968 season is to attempt to apply some new interpretations from the lease areas onto this prospecting area. Prior to the current exploration team, a major geochemical auger programme was completed, but no tests for gold were carried out on the soil, etc. Gold loaming has been tried and is a success. A better understanding of the old geochemical results has been achieved. Expenditure is related to the advance of exploration knowledge and it is evident that the reshaping of the programme along the following lines:- geological mapping, costeaning, geochemistry, magnetometry and drilling will continue this advance.en_US
