EL 28410, First annual report, Tennant Creek Region, Northern Territroy, for the period 17 August 2011 to 16 August 2012

Abstract

EL 28410 was granted to Minerals Invesco Pty Ltd on 17 August 2011 for a period of 6 years. The licence is located in the Georgina Basin and Tomkinson Province of the Tennant Creek Region. There was no on-ground exploration activity carried out by Invesco in the 1st year of tenure. Instead, a thorough desktop review of previous exploration was completed. The most significant recent exploration activity on the ground currently covered by EL 28410 was by OM Manganese (operator Bootu Creek Mine) in 2007-2010 when they drilled 7 holes in the northern portion of EL 28410 and conducted a 150m spaced aeromagnetic and radiometric survey. No manganese or prospective rock-types were intersected and the area was surrendered. OM Manganese described the magnetics as complex and attributed it to andesite intrusives. The area is considered to have potential for economic phosphate and manganese mineralisation. This will be followed-up in the 2nd year of tenure.
