EL 28409, First annual report, Tennant Creek Region, Northern Territroy, for the period 17 August 2011 to 16 August 2012

Abstract

EL 28409 was granted to Minerals Invesco Pty Ltd on 17 August 2011 for a period of 6 years. The licence is located in the Tomkinson Province of the Tennant Creek Region. There was no on-ground exploration activity carried out by Invesco in the 1st year of tenure. Instead, a thorough desktop review of previous exploration was done. It was found that very little previous on-ground work had been done on or close to the ground now covered by EL 28409 with the exception of Stockdale Prospecting who drilled several holes to test discrete magnetic anomalies for kimberlitic affinities. All these holes were outside EL 28409 and the magnetic anomalies were attributed to basaltic lithologies. The area is considered to have low potential for base metals, but may still have phosphate and manganese potential. This will be followed-up in the 2nd year of tenure by field reconnaissance and surface sampling work.
