EL 28199 Lake Woods Partial relinquishment report for the period 29 April 2011 to 28 April 2013

Abstract

No exploration has been carried out by Crossland on the relinquished ground since granting in April 2011. The geology and economic potential of the package of licences held by Crossland since 2004 has been studied in some detail. The most encouraging discoveries made by Crossland, and in previous years by the Ashton JV, is the occurrence of an unusual suite of microdiamonds. Also of interest was the reinterpretation of the regional magnetic terrane by Crossland's consultant; this led to a diamond drilling programme aimed at defining the nature of geophysical anomalies and a regionally extensive intrusive body. That programme was assisted by the NT government through the Collaborations scheme. Given Crossland's current financial position no further work is recommended and the ground has been relinquished.
