The only physical work on the three relinquished sub-blocks has been a preliminary recon over the area. Most of the area is covered by Black Soil Plains with only minor exposures of strongly foliated Burrell Creek Formation. No indications of hydrothermal alteration or mineralisation were found in the rock exposures examined. Therefore no rock sampling or other geochemistry was done over this area. Fugro Airborne Surveys (FAS) completed an airborne electro-magnetic survey (AEM) over Hapsburg's Compass Creek tenement (EL-25399). FAS flew 34 lines over the tenement at a spacing of 238m. A Geophysicist (David McInnes) interpreted the Tempest Airborne Electro-Magnetic survey and concluded there were two significant AEM anomalies (in the southern part of EL 25399) that occur on the deeper depth slices of the AEM data (deepest being 150 to 200m)in the southern part of EL 25399. The only AEM response over the three relinquished sub-blocks was shallow (near surface) conductance that is interpreted to be related to the clay rich Black Soil Plains. The terrane covered by the three relinquished sub-blocks has very poor rock exposure. No evidence has been found to indicate the presence of any significant hydrothermal alteration or mineralisation. A detailed AEM survey has failed to locate any sub-surface conductors. The airborne magnetic survey shows the area to be underlain by folded sediments, and indicates that the granitic intrusive is not present within any reasonable depth below the three sub-blocks. Therefore the decision was made to relinquish these three sub-blocks.en_US
