Annual and final report EL 28578, 12 September 2011 to 11 September 2012

Abstract

EL 28578 covers an area located some 17km to the north of the Broadmere Homestead. Historical exploration has returned a significant number of microdiamonds in the drainage systems of the area. The source of these anomalies has not been located to date. During the year a broad scale literature survey was conducted on the project area, which consisted of examining previous explorers data as submitted to the DME as well as current thinking on diamond mineralising systems in the Northern Territory. Field work on the licence during the year consisted of a site visit by Mr A Jettner and a field crew from Minesite Services for a general site familiarisation and examination of sites of interest with the intention of planning future on ground exploration strategies. As a consequence of this field trip and due to the difficulties of access it was decided not to continue exploration.
