L 26907 was granted to OM (Manganese) Limited on May 6, 2009. In its first year, a review of historical exploration and a small program of field reconnaissance took place over the tenement area, trying to find favourable geology to host a manganese deposit, thought likely to occur in the Morphett Creek Formation dolomitic units of the Lower Proterozoic Tomkinson Creek Group. Seven days were spent in the field, mapping and looking for outcrops of favourable rock to sample without success. A planned aero-magnetic and radiometric survey has been deferred until 2010/11 pending the grant of adjacent exploration licences to the west of Bootu Creek, in order that a more contiuous survey can be organised and reduce the need for multiple mobilisation charges.en_US
