Abstract: | EL 25060 is 750km SE of Darwin, and 140km NE of Tennant Creek and some 110km east of the Stuart Highway. Territory Uranium Company Ltd is exploring for uranium, and applied for EL 25060 to explore for U mineralisation. Exploration at the Helen Springs Project included data review of NTGS Phosphate Study, field reconnaissance, scintillometer traverses and geochemical/rock chip sampling. In year 2 a mapping and geochemical sampling program was undertaken in the Helen Springs Project area with 48 samples taken (assayed for multi-elements) and extensive areas mapped. Elevated values of both vanadium (578ppm) and uranium (20ppm) were returned from a single sample at an unconformity related radiometric anomaly in EL 25060. Unfortunately due to other commitments Territory Uranium was unable to complete any exploration on EL 25060 during the third year of tenement and the tenement was surrendered. |
