The area is being explored for uranium, phosphate and manganese. The project region indicates the existence of untested strong radiometric anomalies within prospective sandstone host-rock formations, of Late Proterozoic to Early Cambrian age. This is encouraging considering the minimal amount of work carried out specifically for uranium and the lack of exploration work coverage within the project area. Also the Brewer Conglomerate (Undandita Member) hosts the Angela and Pamela uranium deposits. The same formation is hosted within the north-western portion of the tenement. Higher grade uranium mineralisation at Angela I coincides with small fault parallel to the axial plane of the Missionary Syncline. The Exploration Licence area has similar features proximal to the Ross River Syncline. This type of target has not been previously investigated in the area. Also to be targeted, are deeper unconformity related deposits in Proterozoic rocks, similar to the high grade deposits in the Alligator River District of the Northern Territory and the Athabasca Basin of Canada. These are effectively blind targets where block faulting in the central part of the project area has been uplifted of the basement assemblages and brought the unconformable contact. Also the strong phosphate intersected by the drilling requires urgent follow up in conjunction with the strongly elevated manganese and rock chip assays.en_US
