Final report for EL 25660 Hayes Dam Project for the period 30 August 2007 to 15 May 2009

Abstract

This report summarizes work carried out on EL 25660 for the entire tenure period up to 15th May 2009 when the tenement was surrendered. The tenement known as Hayes Dam, is located 40 kilometres east of Alice Springs within the MacDonnell Ranges in the southern part of the Northern Territory. Exploration Licence 25660 was granted to Alistair Wansbone Mackie Exploration on 31 July, 2007. The licence was transferred to WDR Base Metals Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Desert Resources Ltd, on 17 June 2008. The Hayes Dam project covers an area mainly within the Aileron Province of the Arunta Block, and includes the unconformity contact with the Amadeus Basin. There has been little exploration over the licence area previously. In the first year of tenure, a regional stream sediment survey with helicopter support was conducted and completed during May 2008. No exploration or field work was carried out on EL 25660 during the current year. EL 25660 was surrendered on 15th May, 2009.
