The 34 block licence EL 2786 was granted on March 24th, 2003 and comprised 106.73 km2. In 2006 it was reduced by 14 blocks to 62.61km2 and in 2008 was further reduced by another 10 blocks to 31.30 km2. The remaining 10 blocks expired at the end of Year 6 on 23/03/2009. The rectangle exclusion at the centre of the project area, leaving a hole in the tenement coverage of about one graticule, is reserved for local traditional owner's cultural usage incorporating a registered heritage site. EL 22786, the Attack Creek Project, was pegged over an area containing a sedimentary sequence analogous to the rocks that host the Bootu Creek manganese deposits where OM (Manganese) Ltd operates the Bootu Creek Manganese Mine, 50km to the north-east of the tenement. Little exploration occurred in the first 3 years of the tenement's life, however in the 4th year a comprehensive project review was undertaken and, with satellite borne ASTER spectral imagery, a number of possible manganese targets were identified. 13 rockchips were collected during a subsequent reconnaissance field trip. In year 5, the rockchips were analysed for 44 elements and one sample was examined by petrography. An Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority (AAPA) survey was conducted in year 6 and, due to the number of sacred sites located on the remaining portion of the lease, it was concluded that no further work should be conducted on the tenement.en_US
