Abstract: The Victoria River Project area is located in the Northern Territory of Australia and is situated about 450 kilometres south of Darwin. The project covered 10,009 square kilometres and was made up of 15 exploration licences, 4 granted exploration licences and 2 pending exploration licences have now been withdrawn or surrendered, leaving about 6,730 square kilometres in the project made up of granted or tenements under application. Anglo Australian Resources NL is focused on the base metal potential of the Proterozoic Victoria River Basin, the exploration models used by AAR include the SedEX-McArther River, Mississippi Lead-Zinc and Irish Lead-Zinc models. Open file reports have been reviewed and a data base compiled. Reprocessing of geophysical data such as Geotem gravity and aeromagnetic by Southern Geosciences has highlighted structural lineaments, this structural data when incorporated into the geological model in conjunction with the historic geochemical data has highlighted a number of high priority exploration targets. On completion of the above review this tenement was deemed to be not prospective and was therefore surrendered on 16 February 2009.
