Relinquishment report for EL 25085 Kirkimbie, for the period ending 3 October 2008

Abstract

Exploration licence 25085 is part of a suite of tenements held in the north west of Northern Territory for the exploration of diamonds and base metals. The licences cover Proterozoic to Mesozoic rock types including marine carbonates, tholeiitic basalts and a host of metamorphic rock types blanketed by Recent alluvium. The region in general is considered under-explored and its remote location does not make this more tenable. Exploration during the report period has been limited to initial reviews of geophysical data and available geological reports; and short reconnaissance field trips. No onground work was completed in the eastern portion of this tenement. In this respect approximately 940 square kilometres are relinquished from El 25085 at the end of this report period.
