Exploration on tenement EL 25859 commenced with the collection and review of available historical geophysical and sample data. This data was incorporated with recently collected data from exploration programs carried out in the region by Gravity and a series of 15-20 target drainages were identified for sampling. This data identified a series of poorly or inadequately sampled drainages and sampling commenced. The initial sampling was carried out utilising a helicopter in conjunction with other sampling programs in the area. Three gravel samples were collected in the central portion of the tenement. Further sampling was planned utilising a recently completed rehabilitated access track from Broadmere Station and old seismic traverses however intense bushfire in the tenement area during October 2007 limited the safe access to these sample sites and the remainder of the sampling program was postponed. The three samples obtained were collected in a similar standard fashion with the samples comprising of between 40-50 kg of sieved -1.6 mm material collected from the best trapsites available in each target drainage. Access to the sample sites was achieved using a Jet Ranger helicopter hired from Jayrow in Darwin. The base used for the initial sampling programs undertaken during the reporting period was the Nathan River homestead, which lies some 60 km to the east of the tenement. As exploration intensified in this tenement area vehicular access was deemed necessary. Old station tracks on Broadmere Station were rehabilitated to provide access to the south and western portions of the tenement area. Heavy mineral samples were sent to Diatech Laboratories in Perth for processing through a micro DMS plant and recovery of kimberlite indicator minerals from the -1.2mm +0.3mm fraction of the DMS concentrate. The three samples collected failed to report kimberlitic indicator minerals.en_US
