Annual report on EL 24887 for year ended 7 August 2008

Abstract

No on ground work was undertaken due to a verbal agreement with the Central Land Council not to carry out any on ground activities until Westgold have come to an agreement regarding heritage issues related to EL 24887. Westgold has established a very good relationship with the CLC and Traditional Owners and believe it is essential to maintain this relationship and therefore comply with their request. Negotiations are continuing. Work conducted during the year consisted of a regional evaluation and a separate evaluation for Phosphate. The recent evaluation of phosphate in the area suggests this tenement has potential for near surface phosphate mineralisation related to the cover sequence of the Georgina Basin. Therefore further assessment is required to validate this interpretation.
