Nobelex quarterly report on EL 676 ending 07/02/1973 - The EL is being completely covered by low level airborne geophysics. The contract for this work was let early in December, but commencement of flying has been delayed by wet weather and equipment malfunctions. Flying the contract is currently in progress. Australian Development Ltd report on AP 2387 for period 10 1971/72 - Magnetic interpretations received. Report for period 8 01/03/1971 - An interpretation of the anomaly on this AP was received from our consultants. The target appears too deep and to small to warrant drilling at this stage. Report for period 2 11/09/1970 - Renewal for a further period o twelve months o 03/09/1971 granted. Report for period 1 19/08/1970 - Continued geophysical appraisal by our consultants. Application for renewal was made in July. Nobelex report for period 13 31//07/1970 - Geological mapping and preparation of maps continued. Australian Development report for period 12 06/07/1970 - Auger drilling was completed on the area. A total of 369 feet was involved. Assay results not yet to hand. Report for period 11 27/05/1970 - The auger drilling programme o cober 125 holes commenced. Initial estimated time had to be reassessed as bedrock was much deeper than expected and drilling was further hindered by the presence of a hard layer which varied in composition eg siliceous-calcareous. 2,280 feet of auger drilling completed for the period. Nobelex report for period 10 20/04/1970 - 24,000 line feet of fill-in gridding was added to the area. 31,000 line feet was covered using the Elsec magnetometer; this brought the ground magnetometry of the area to completion. A rough contour map showing the results of magnetometry has been drawn up. Nobelex report for period 9 02/04/1970 - 77,000 line feet of gridding at 400' and 200' line spacing was completed for the period. Only a small amount of fill-in gridding (200' line spacing) is now outstanding. Ground magntometry using Elsec commenced. Although only one anomaly peak was indicated by the low level aeromagnetics, at least two peaks are now evident on the ground. The peaks appear to be closely associated with a NW to SE trending line of quartz and minor quartz-hematite. Nobelex report for period 8 06/03/1970 - Gridding of the prospect by contractors (AES) commenced and 47,000 line feet at 400' line spacing was completed. Photomapping of the area at 1/1000 scale yielded little information of value because of the preponderance of bullbust and lateritic cover.en_US
