Abstract: | Progress reports are as follows; December 1969 - The ground magnetometer survey recently completed at the Explorer 81 prospect has been analysed by our consultant geophysicists and grid extensions have been recommended. It is planned to drill a vertical percussion-rotary hole to a depth of 500 feet if possible to give information about another of the several magnetic anomaly peaks at the Explorer 15 prospect. This hole is scheduled to commence about mid-January when a contract drill becomes available from the Orlando Mine surface drilling. January 1970 - Delays in the percussion drilling programme at the Orlando mine and the need to precollar several more holes at the Gecko Mine, prevented the drilling of the propossed hole at the Explorer 15 prospect. It will now be drilled in February. |
