dc.description.abstractAn inspection of the Black Angel - White Devil gold mining leases at Tennant Creek was conducted in 1963. Shear-hosted gold is described. Targets based on a 1937 magnetometer survey were drilled by Peko between 1957 and 1959. No orebodies were found. The oxidised material has not been systematically evaluated. Total recorded production is 6,530 tons of ore averaging 9.3 dwts of gold per ton. The bulk came form Black Angel. The deepest shaft is 180 feet but most ore, about 6,000 tons, has come from within 70 feet of the surface close to No2 and No3 shafts. The copper potential is largely untested.More exploration is recommended.en_US
