Australian Development got approval for the Mines and Water Branch to drill test a BMR magnetic anomaly near The Flag prospect. Two diamond holes for 2,311 feet were drilled between November 1967 and November 1969. Core was logged by either the Resident Government Geologist or company geologists. Both holes failed to intersect massive ironstone or significant mineralisation. The magnetic anomaly was attributed to disseminated magnetite within sediments, lamprophyre and diorite. The anomaly does not warrant further testing.en_US
