Abstract: | This is a record of a joint Denehurst / Departmental assessment of EL 5297 before it was surrendered. The area was considered prospective for tin, tungsten and bismuth, possibly gold and base metals. Details of any work prior to a Billiton-Denehurst JV are sketchy. Billiton conducted regional stream sediment sampling and considered the results did not justify further work. No economic minerals were found during the current study. 5 rock chip samples, 3 percussion chip samples and 3 stream sediments are reported herein. All are located on a hard copy map. The best assay was from a rock chip that gave 140 ppm Cu, 86 ppm Pb and 320 ppm Zn. |
