EL 9928, EL 9929, EL 22368, EL 22369, EL 22447, EL 22825, EL 22827, EL 23247 and EL 24780 Plateau Project Annual report for the period 20 July 2006 to 19 July 2007

Abstract

The Plateau project consists of nine exploration licenses (ELs 9928, 9929, 22368, 22369, 22447, 22825, 22827, 23247 and 24780) with a total area of 229.1 km. The project is located in western Arnhem Land, approximately 250 km east of Darwin. The ELs were granted to Cameco Australia Pty Ltd on July 20 2005 for a period of six years. During the 2006 field season Cameco conducted exploration for unconformity-style uranium mineralisation. The exploration program included a single helicopter supported diamond drill hole of 674.4 m, an airborne EM (TEMPEST) survey, an airborne hyperspectral (HyMap) survey, three lines of airborne gravity as part of a larger survey and a small geological reconnaissance and outcrop sampling program.
