First annual exploration report on EL 25060 Brunchilly Creek, for period ending 17 September 2007, Helen Springs Project

Abstract

EL 25060 is 750km SE of Darwin, and 140km NE of Tennant Creek and some 110km east of the Stuart Highway. Territory Uranium Company Ltd is exploring for uranium, and applied for EL 25060 to explore for U mineralisation. Work during Year 1 of tenure consisted of a review of both NTGS data, and compilation of significant results from Industry reports. Most of the data provided in previous annual reports was found in the Diamond Indicator Mineral Database provided by the Northern Territory Geological Survey. Previous U exploration within the Licence is non existent. Most of the previous exploration focussed on diamond exploration with minor forays into Tennant Creek Cu-Au mineralisation. A review of the regional geophysics and SEEBASE dataset showed weak U-channel radiometric anomalies along a WNW trend which may be following basement structures. Work during Year 2 will include field reconnaissance of radiometric anomalies and geochemical sampling. Drilling will be carried out if field reconnaissance results warrant further exploration.
