L 10404 'Mordor' is situated approximately 60 km northeast of Alice Springs. As originally pegged, it contained the Middle Proterozoic Mordor Alkaline Igneous Complex (MAIC), an intrusion within Proterozoic metasediments of the Arunta Block. No on-ground work was conducted during the reporting period by the previous holder, Tanami Exploration NL (TENL), or by Deep Yellow Ltd (DYL). DYL does not have an Indigenous Land Use Agreement in respect of EL 10404 and therefore DYL has sought approval from the Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority prior to conducting the proposed exploration program.en_US
