| Abstract: | This report is a collaboration between the Mines Department and the leaseholders. Geochemical sampling over the Explorer 27 geophysical anomaly (also known as Last Hope Mine prospect) identified a copper and molybdenum anomaly associated with a gossan-like outcrop. A drillhole intersected pyrite and minor chalcopyrite between 416 feet and EOH at 601 feet. A few narrow hydrothermal veinlets contained chalcopyrite, pyrite and occasionally molybdenite. The amount of sulphides in the core were insufficient to explain the geophysical anomaly or the gossanous-like outcrop. The report gives a good summary of exploration at Explorer 27 to date, but is missing its maps and plans. |
