Title Holder / Company: Tanami Exploration
Report id: CR2006-0216

Year: 2006

Abstract: EL 23637 'Mt Baldwin' is situated 225 kilometres northeast of Alice Springs in the Northern Arunta block of the North Australian Craton at the boundary to the Southern Georgina Basin. The tenement was granted in April 2003 to Tanami Exploration NL (TENL), a wholly owned subsidiary of TGNL, a publicly listed company. After three years of tenure the tenement was reduced in size pursuant to the requirements of section 26 of the NT Mining Act. Exploration on the portion of EL 23637 relinquished in April 2006 is the subject of this report. The relinquished tenement area is interpreted to be underlain by Irindina Metamorphics. The Delny-Mt Sainthill retrograde shear zone is situated just to the north in the retained tenement area. During a reconnaissance trip in December 2003 one rock chip sample was collected from the relinquished tenement area of EL 23637. No elevated gold value was returned.
