Exploration Licence 10078 'Mount Riddoch' is located approximately 100 km northeast of Alice Springs and was explored as part of the Harts Range Project. The licence was granted to Tanami Exploration NL (TENL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tanami Gold NL (TGNL), on 5 September 2001. This report describes the mineral exploration completed on the final portion of EL 10078 'Mount Riddoch' from grant to the end of tenure on 4 September 2005. Exploration on previously relinquished tenement areas has been reported separately in Potter, 2003 and Rohde, 2004. EL 10078 was acquired in 1998-1999 after TENL reviewed the existing open file data. The review identified the potential for Selwyn-style copper-gold and Coronation Hill-style gold-PGM mineralisation in the Harts Range region leading to the acquisition of a significant tenement holding. In the first year of tenure, extensive surface sampling and one small RAB programme was carried out on EL 10078, particularly targeting the Florence Creek Shear Zone and related structures. Hyperspectral analysis outlined anthophyllite and carbonate-chlorite anomalies in the area, which were tested in the third year of tenure with rockchip samples. No significant assay results were received and after further data assessment, the tenement area was recommended for surrender. Potential for both large tonnage, low grade oxide mineralisation or small tonnage, high grade mineralisation, is considered low.en_US
