This report summarise the work undertaken during the period 1986 to 1990 in the relinquished areas of the licences. Geological mapping of the relinquished areas indicated that outcrop consisted primarily of Pargee and Gardiner Sandstone. Limited or no Mount Charles or Killi Killi Beds, prospective geology outcropped. In addition 90 samples were analysed geochemically, minor xenotime enrichment found, 13 petrographic samples analysed and 53 RAB holes totalling 815m were drilled. This work was over 3 zones of study designated 14, 17 and 18. Work in 1988 concentrated on Area 14 and highlighted two types of granite. Petrography of the foliated granite showed that texture was metamorphic and gneissic layering was probably remanent sedimentary layering-the unit was probably middle Proterozoic in age. Within the area there are two radiometric anomalies designated Anomaly A and Anomaly B with maximum values 350cps and 900cps respectively. Both anomalies are uranium rich, with elevated lead values. The anomalies occur in areas of extensive silicification associated with the band of specular hematite and iron staining, also minor brecciation. This alteration suggests hydrothermal origin. In 1988 work within the Mount Junction area concentrated on areas 17c, 18a, 18b and 18c.en_US
