Abstract: | The geochemical surveys to date failed to highlight any gold anomalies, it however, highlighted a number of base metal anomalies. Follow up work on a narrow quartz haematite lode with anomalous Cu, Pb Zn, Ag, Sn, W and As geochemistry delineated 4 NNW-NW trending copper mineralised structures. The structures are hosted in retrogressed cordierite facies pelites and psammopelites of the Burrell Creek Formation. The systems range in width from 2cm to 2m and dip vertically. Two magnetic anomalies in the licence area are not associated with mineralisation but are associated with contact metamorphism of the Burrell Creek Formation. The size and grade of the prospect is of insufficient size to justify further expenditure. |
