Geological reconnaissance and assessment of the prospectivity EL 5505.

Abstract

Reconnaissance of the area failed to show any rock types which typically accompany syngenetic massive sulphide deposits. In addition many of the felsic volcanics mapped are in fact intrusive sills. Thus the area does not appear to be prospective for base metals. The area lack major through fault or shear zones nor are there any felsic volcanic centres or evidence of epithermal veining and associated hydrothermal alteration. The area thus conceptually is not likely to host economic gold deposits.
