Partial relinquishment report on exploration activities, EL 5359 (Mathison Creek), 25-03-1988 to 24-03-1992

Abstract

The licence area has been explored for diamonds and to a lesser extent base metal mineralisation. This report details the exploration within that portion of the tenement relinquished on the 15-03-1992. Within the relinquished portion of the tenement 3 barrage and 26 stream sediment samples were collected for heavy mineral analysis. All results were negative. A study of the literature revealed that occurences of base metal mineralisation have been reported along the Dorisvale Fault. only one sample was collected within the relinquished portion of the licence, and analysed for base metals and gold. Results did not reveal any anomalies of interest. This work has shown that the area does not have the potential to host a diamondiferous source.
