The report broadly discusses the structural controls on ironstones in the Tennant Creek area. Ironstones appear to be located at or near the hinge of second order anticlines where there is a marked difference in the mechanical properties in the lithological units. Interpretation of the 1984 Austrex aeromagnetic data revealed no obvious magnetic strata. It has been that there is only a slight possibility that the area will host an economic copper-gold deposit.en_US
