dc.description.abstract55 stream sediment samples were taken during a reconnaissance programme, recovering 2 diamonds, 3 microdiamonds and a chromite. Subsequently aeromagnetic data from the previous title holder in the area was acquired. 17 anomalies were identified within the licence area and 9 of these anomalies were targeted for follow up to locate the diamond-microdiamond source. Follow up included a helicopter borne magnetic survey. 2 of the anomalies were then covered by a ground magnetic survey (CA5 and CA8). Modelling suggested a shallow, narrow body of limited depth extent. Drilling essentially confirmed the model for CA8. 7 loam samples were taken over magnetic features. 1 returned a single microdiamond from magnetic anomaly CA5. 4 stream sediment samples from the NE Georgina Basin were analysed for base and precious metals. No anomalous values were returned. 17 stream sediment samples were collected from Carrara Range Inlier. 2 samples from adjacent creeks were anomalous in gold (75.3ppb Au and 21.4ppb Au). Those anomalous values were followed up by further geochemical sampling. No anomalous values were returned.en_US
