Geological reconnaissance centred on the Mallapunyah Fault Zone where the BMR found ferruginous concretions which looked the same as those at HYC. Concretions are abundant at some locations, but no mineralisation seemed associated with them. The max thickness of the Barney Creek Fm in this area is considered to be less than 40m.en_US
