Abstract: This report discusses the idealised uranium +- gold +- PGM ore body in the South Alligator valley and proposes descriptive and genetic models as well as exploration techniques. The prospectivity of various areas within the proposed conservation zone are discussed and rated. The report is accompanied by several voluminous appendices. The hardcopy of the report contains a review of Coronation Hill geology by J F Leckie; There is also a detailed catalogue of plans held by the CHJV, from 52 separate locations throughout the South Alligator Valley and nearby areas explored by the joint venture or United Uranium NL. Drilling ledgers for numerous exploration drill holes, mostly those drilled by UUNL around mines in the South Alligator Valley are included. Results are presented of the geological studies based on the extensive drilling completed by CHJV at the date of writing. This is described under the following headings: Stratigraphy, Intrusive rocks, Structure, Alteration: Quartz- feldspar porphyry Intermediate to basic intrusives Green chloritised volcaniclastic, pyroclastic and clastic sediments Mineralisation: Distribution Rock association Ore mineralogy. This is accompanied by two plates, one a drill hole plan and the other a typical section. The report is not comprehensive and is descriptive rather than conclusive.
