Abstract: | The aeromagnetic survey identified five low priority magnetic anomalies. Two high-Cr chromite and 1 moderate-Cr chromites were discovered from the surface loam and stream sediment samples. These chromites have similar composition to those derived from the diamondiferous kimberlites. A single line of RAB holes across a portion of the Last Hope palaeo-channel intersected gravels at 5-7 m depth. No diamond indicators or diamonds were recovered from gravel intervals. During exploration program, several areas of manganese concentration were noted. |
