Exploration Licence 9719, was granted to Rodney Johnston (67%) and Mega-Min Resources NL (33%) on 6 September, 2002 for a period of six (6) years expiring on 5 September, 2008. A Transfer of a 20% interest in the licence from Johnston/Mega-Min to Neil Henry Scriven was registered on 29 November, 2002 so that the interests became Johnston (40%), Mega-Min (40%) and Scriven (20%). A further Transfer of 100% of the licence from Johnston, Mega-Min and Scriven to Tawana Resources NL was registered on 15 April,2004. The licence covers an area of 11 graticular blocks and it is located in the Roper River area.During Year 1 of Exploration Licence 9719, no field work was carried out by Johnston, Mega-Min and Scriven. Work consisted of summarizing the open file reports of previous explorers in the area and making recommendations for future work.During Year 2 of Exploration Licence 9719, again no field work was carried out by Johnston, Mega-Min and Scriven prior to the Transfer of the licence to Tawana Resources NL. Due to the late finish to the wet season there has been insufficient time for Tawana Resources to carry out any field work on this licence since taking over ownership in mid-April,2004. Work proposed by Tawana Resources for Year 3 of EL 9719 is expected to comprise the proposed excavation of a 200 tonne sample from the Packsaddle Kimberlite Dyke and process this with a Dense Media Separation (DMS) plant, similar to the current operations by Tawana Resources NL at Timber Creek (under EL10358). The purpose of this large sample is to establish whether the dyke contains large diamonds, and if so what the likely quality of the diamond could be. It is reported that all the drill samples submitted for microdiamond work by Stockdale provided fine diamonds (Fried, 1990), but no commercial sized stones have been reported from the Packsaddle 01 Kimberlite dyke.en_US
