First annual report for EL 23636, 26th May 2003 to 25th May 2004

Abstract

EL 23636 'Yam Creek' is situated 205 kilometres northeast of Alice Springs in the Northern Arunta block. The tenement was granted in May 2003 to Tanami Exploration NL. This report describes exploration carried out by TENL in its first year of tenure. EL 23636 is traversed by the Delny-Mt Sainthill retrograde shear zone, which is considered prospective for epigenetic gold -copper mineralisation. Reconnaissance exploration in late 2003 included seven rock chip samples on EL 23636. These were mainly from the shear zone in the north western area of the tenement, where gossanous material crops out. A best result of 717 ppb Au was returned.
