dc.description.abstract | EL 22162, in the Carrara Range Northern Territory, forms part of a regional exploration project that Anglo American Exploration (Australia) Pty Ltd is undertaking in the northwestern extension of the Lawn Hill Platform. The exploration target is sediment hosted massive sulphide Pb - Zn deposits. Work carried out during the first reporting period, included data and literature reviews, an initial field reconnaissance including a helicopter survey, a regional TEM survey and soil sampling during reconnaissance fieldwork. Work conducted during the current reporting period was comprised of a further TEM survey and the drilling of one diamond drill hole and one percussion hole. Further data evaluation and target review has downgraded the prospectivity of this lease, hence due to changing exploration priorities and the need to focus on other core projects in the Isa-McArthur region it has been decided to surrender this lease. | en_US |
