dc.description.abstractThis report reviews the Mn potential of EL 23599 held by Consolidated Minerals. The Groote Eylandt-style Mn potential of the Cretaceous sediments overlying the McArthur Basin was first realised by BHP after the discovery of Mn at 582900mE and 8269000mN. They followed up with drilling and EM. The present operators undertook a literature search, compiled a GIS to assemble all available data and constructed a palaeogeography. A 7 day field inspection was undertaken and 45 soil samples collected.en_US
