Work during the 14 year life of ERL 85 initially concentrated on exploration of Gigantic, Giant Moon and the Rising Moon prospects previously explored under EL 4820. Results of RC and diamond drilling were disappointing. Comprehensive geological mapping, rock chip sampling, ground magnetics IP and geochemical surveys in the fourth tenure year identified geochemical anomaly at the Billy Boy prospect. Six magnetic anomalies were identified after geophysical interpretation and selected for drilling. Drilling resulted in the discovery of a substantial gold and copper body. Further drilling at Billy Boy confirmed that anomalous mineralisation is present to the southern boundary of ERL 85. Costeaning at Billy Boy uncovered a narrow extension north of existing drilling. This remains untested as well as Anomaly A,D and E. The report concluded that the Billy Boy, Giant Moon, Rising Moon, Spotty Dog and the Gigantic prospects remain as exploration targets with considerable potential. All five target areas are covered by the ML(A)22248.en_US
