Combined annual report for EL's 6566, 6903 and 6904 (Snake Creek) for the period 3rd June 2000 to 2nd June 2001

Abstract

Results from 34 loam samples collected were received, ten of the samples reported positive results. All contained diamonds (8 samples micro diamonds and the remaining 2 samples contained macro diamonds and one sample also contained a chromite grain. Result from a single gravel sample collected in the previous season did not returned any diamonds or kimberlitic indicator grains. Macro diamonds were reported from 14 loam samples collected during the reporting period. Macro diamonds were reported from 2 samples and a single chromite grain was reported from one sample. Results from two bulk samples returned positive results with one sample containing 26 micro diamonds, 3 macro diamonds and 1 chromite grain and another sample containing 1 macro diamond. Further work is planned.
