dc.description.abstract | Work consisted of gridding, ground magnetic surveys, sampling and RAB drilling programs. Numerous results from the lag sampling were in excess of 10 ppb Au and 800 ppm As with peak results of 27 ppb Au and 7000ppm As. Arsenic results were concentrated to the south of the prominent ferruginous ridge tested previously. Most anomalous gold results however were situated in the eastern half of the grid. No strong control on arsenic or gold anomalism is apparent in the results. A peak value of 111 ppb Au was obtained from a NW trending quartz vein within Lander Rock Bed. Coincident As (76 ppm) and Bi (117 ppm) anomalism gives further encouragement for the area. A peak As results from CRC sampling was 11799 ppm with numerous samples recording greater than 800 ppm As. The soil sampling defined a robust ENE striking 1ppb Au anomaly with a 2.5 km strike length, which is open in both directions. Arsenic is much more restricted, with a central core of between 70-170 ppm on the 682000E and 682500E lines and weaker ENE and NW trends of 30-70 ppm As. The Au anomaly is 800 m wide at its broader dimension, where there appears to be an intersection between the main EN to ENE trend and weaker NW trend. Both of these trends appear to coincide with magnetic features. RAB drilling returned gold assays mildly encouraging with the best intercep of 3m at 0.18 ppm from 27m (BLCRB24), 21m at 60 ppb (BLCRB27). These results appear to follow a NE magnetic trend associated with shale or siltstone. Another encouraging anomaly was intercepted in BLCB87 (3m at 54 ppb from 40m). This is located at intercept between the main NE magnetic trend and a NNW feature that offsets this trend. | en_US |
