Batchelor project EL 10195 - Cameron Downs final report

Abstract

A significant resource of good quality magnesite has been discovered on nearby exploration licence 9501. EL 10195 was part of a package applied for with the aim of locating a good quality dolomite and limestone for use as flux in the proposed furnace process to manufacture magnesium metal, but due to a change of proposed treatment process, limestone or dolomite was no longer needed and the area was surrendered. No new data has been collected but compilation of previous exploration indicates that carbonate underlies a portion of the licence at shallow depth.
