2000 Annual combined report on exploration licence's EL 8508, EL 9161, EL 9196, EL 9346 and EL 9594

Abstract

The report describes all exploration activities on the tenements during the reporting period including sampling, drilling, infill airborne geophysical program, geological and geophysical interpretations. Mount Bundey is considered highly prospective for the location of further gold deposit. 15 holes were drilled within EL 8505 to follow up several coincident soil anomalies. Although results were disappointing with the highest assay 2m at 0.65 g/t Au, further work is planned for the next field season. Extension of the gold soil anomaly within EL 9346 has been tested by 13 drill holes. Results were disappointing with the peak results being 2 m at 0.55 g/t Au. Three were drilled to test weak gold anomaly along the contact between the Gerowie Tuff and the Mount Bonnie Formation. Results were disappointing but this area will be further reviewed and detailed investigation is planned. Soil sampling program was conducted over EL 9346 and results showed two distinct zones of anomalous gold values, coincident with a magnetic feature from the recently conducted NTGS airborne magnetic surveys. Further work is required. Rock chip sampling completed on EL 8508 aimed to prioritise drilling targets. The company conducted infill airborne geophysical survey over the area which was linked to the recent NTDME surveys. Regional geological and geophysical interpretation and data compilation into the fully integrated GIS format has been carried out.
