A helicopter borne radiometric and magnetic survey was carried out producing 67 U/Th radiometric selected anomalies for further evaluation. Helicopter assisted ground reconnaissance took place subsequent to the survey, which involved soil sampling and ground radioactivity surveys. Nearly all of the anomalous areas were sampled and have been assayed. the anomalies are located west of a major fault and lineament structure which could have acted as a conduit for a favourable mineralising hydrothermel event. The anomalies are associated with laterite, kaolinite and black soil. The most significant anomaly located to date is the Steven's anomaly which at the contact between the Oenpelli Dolomite and the Katherine River Group (Mamadawerre Sandstone). Anomalous U occurs within thin quartz veins. Anomaly 28 gave results of 529ppm U, 227ppb Au and 219ppm Th. Anomaly 65 assayed the highest gold value in the weathered dolerite: 578ppb Au, 212ppm U and 3ppm Th. Airphoto interpretation suggesta that Steven's anomaly may be associated with breccias outcropping in the vicinity.en_US
