dc.description.abstract | Exploration licences 5061 and 5062 have been covered by an aeromagnetic-radiometric survey. This has resulted in the location of radiometric anomalism within the Kombolgie Sandstone especially in areas of intense fracturing, brecciation and silicification. To date five significant prospects have been located within the EL's. A singular anomaly in EL 5062 'Stretch', and four within EL 5061 'Phantom', 'Flying Ghost', 'Banshee' and 'Casper'. At 'Banshee' and the 'Flying Ghost' secondary U minerals have been recognised. The prospective Kombolgie Sandstone unit has been evaluated by rock chip sampling and have been analysed by spectroscopy for their mineral contents, whole rock analyses and detailed multielement analyses. Preliminary studies suggest an association of boron with the 340 degrees structural trend and a possible correlation with the higher uranium levels. Significant gold anomalism is associated with anomalous uranium at the 'Flying Ghost' and 'Banshee' copper prospects. In addition, anomalous platinum and palladium tend to mirror the gold anomalism. The better results include 1.32% U, 236.5g-t Au, 49.6g-t Pt and 8.0g-t Pd. In general U is within clays in zones of intense fracturing and may represent leakage from a primary source at depth. | en_US |
